Terms of Service

Last updated: 25 March 2026

1. Agreement to terms

By accessing or using Byter Academy (“the Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. The Platform is operated by Bloodstone Ltd (“Byter”, “we”, “us”), registered in England and Wales, with its registered address at 33 Cavendish Square, Mayfair, London W1G 0PW.

2. Accounts

To access certain features, you must create an account using a valid email address or Google sign-in. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

3. Free and paid access

Byter Academy offers both free and paid content:

  • Free tier: Access to the Foundations course (22 lessons) and the first lesson of every module at no cost
  • Pro Monthly: £23/month — access to all 460 lessons, AI feedback, certificates, and resources
  • Pro Annual: £249/year — same as Pro Monthly at a discounted rate
  • Team: £99/month — Pro access for up to 5 team members

4. Payments and billing

All payments are processed securely by Stripe in GBP (£). Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period. You can cancel your subscription at any time through the account settings page or Stripe Customer Portal — your access will continue until the end of the current billing period.

We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you believe you have been charged in error, please contact us at hello@byter.com within 14 days of the charge.

5. Intellectual property

All content on Byter Academy — including lessons, quizzes, exercises, resources, illustrations, and branding — is the intellectual property of Bloodstone Ltd and is protected by copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission.

Your subscription grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access and use the content for your own educational purposes only.

6. Certificates

Certificates issued by Byter Academy recognise completion of course modules and tracks. They are issued by Byter Academy (a product of Bloodstone Ltd) and do not constitute accredited qualifications. Certificates may be shared on professional profiles and social media.

7. AI-generated content

Byter Academy uses artificial intelligence to generate lesson content, quiz questions, and capstone feedback. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors or outdated information. Content is reviewed for quality but should not be treated as professional advice. Statistics and data points are illustrative and should be verified independently for business decisions.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Copy, redistribute, or resell course content
  • Use automated tools to scrape or download content
  • Attempt to circumvent subscription gating or access controls
  • Submit harmful, abusive, or illegal content through capstone submissions

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at hello@byter.com. Upon termination, your access to paid content will cease and your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

10. Limitation of liability

Byter Academy is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bloodstone Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Contact
